NonPlus Ultra hubs are currently the lightest road/gravel hubs on the market. The complete set weighs just 188 g (XDR). The hubs come standard with Enduro Zero ceramic bearings.
The hub shell is surprisingly well designed, with the rear left flange offset by 36 mm from the hub center. The ratchet is loud, but it provides virtually instantaneous engagement.
The manufacturer allows spoke tension up to 120 kgf, which is remarkable given the extremely low weight of the freehub body. Other manufacturers at a similar weight typically recommend a maximum tension of 100–110 kgf.
NonPlus was the first company to introduce the “M4” model, featuring threaded spoke holes that allow the use of carbon spokes, such as Vonoa.
